Centennial Trail at Railroad Crossing Gets Paved
Finally! The long awaited completion of the Centennial Trail gap at Lebanon Street has finally arrived. City crews placed asphalt today to complete the gap in the trail across the BNSF railroad tracks, creating a safe continuous path for trail users. The City has been actively negotiating with BNSF for several years on upgrading the Lebanon Street crossing, which was anticipated to be completed last year. Due to delays with BNSF on the crossing upgrade the City was recently allowed to place asphalt between the tracks to complete the trail. The City will continue efforts to negotiate with BNSF of the full crossing upgrade to Lebanon St. (from Arlington's October 3rd Newsletter)
