Section of Centennial Trail Closed between Hilltop Road and Wade Road

Snohomish County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism has been monitoring a sinkhole on the Centennial Trail near Arlington between Hilltop Road and Wade Road over the past year or so. Apparently this past weekend’s heavy rainfall has caused additional erosion of the sinkhole making the trail unsafe so we had to close that section of the Centennial Trail.

At Hilltop Road and Wade Road there will be construction fencing and signage indicating the trail is closed ahead with no detour. 

This trail section is just south of the Amar Road Trailhead.

“Approximately one (1) mile of the Centennial  Trail is closed for all public access between Hilltop Road and Wade Road effective June 18, 2020 due to a sinkhole and pending construction. There will be no detour provided.”
