CTCSC met on May 31st to present a community meeting discussing the future of the Whitehorse Trail.

15 people came to join us walk along the section of trail that we hope to get funding for in the next phase of the improvements planned for the Whitehorse Trail.

Snohomish County Parks Planners James Yap and Russ Bosanko join us in the light rain along the North Fork of the Stillaguamish River sharing their knowledge of the history of the old railroad line that ran between Arlington and Darrington.

After the walk we adjourned to the Trafton School for the drier phase of the meeting.  Members from the Snohomish County Parks Advisory Board and several administrators from Snohomish County Parks, including Director Tom Teigen (in green) prepare for the start of the community meeting.  CTCSC Board members Sarah Arney and Matt Riggen helped set up the old school room which was soon full with interested people asking questions about the plans for the Whitehorse Trail and the Centennial Trail.

CTCSC president Rick Schranck showed a video google earth "flyover" of the North Fork Stillaguamish valley and photos or the 17 bridges along the Whitehorse Trail.
